Software Engineer, Platform

They are seeking a Software Engineer, Platform who will be responsible for building and maintaining core backend systems, ensuring secure access, and collaborating with various teams to support platform initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain core backend systems that power platform operations, including contracts, payouts, and fraud-related workflows
• Design and implement identity and access management systems to ensure secure, just-in-time access across the platform
• Translate complex operational requirements into scalable, reliable backend services
• Improve system reliability, security, and performance across foundational infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to support high-impact platform initiatives
• Contribute to internal tooling and platform improvements that enhance developer productivity and system robustness
• Operate in a fast-moving environment, flexing across teams and priorities as needed

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems at scale
• Strong backend engineering skills in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, etc.)
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and scalable service architectures
• Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver practical, reliable solutions quickly
• Strong ownership mindset with experience building foundational systems
• Solid understanding of system reliability, performance, and security best practices
• Experience with identity, access control, or enterprise access management systems
• Familiarity with security and authentication/authorization patterns
• Experience working on platform or infrastructure teams
• Exposure to high-scale systems or data-intensive applications
• Background in fast-paced startup environments
