The Business Development Manager for Education drives strategic growth of Keysight’s education business across universities and research institutions, focusing on curriculum influence and long-term platform adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop growth opportunities across higher education and research institutions in the Americas
- Execute multi‑year business development plans for priority academic accounts and regional education systems
- Expand adoption across engineering domains including semiconductors, biomedical, electronics, wireless and quantum
- Engage institutions early in curriculum modernization, new solution (NSI) launches, and lab refresh cycles
- Secure design influence with faculty and academic leadership to embed Keysight platforms into: Core courses, Capstone programs, Graduate and research labs
- Promote full engineering workflows (design, simulation, validation) in education
- Build relationships with education consortia, workforce initiatives, and industry‑academic partnerships and represent Keysight at education industry events
- Support programs aligned with STEM, semiconductor, biomedical, and advanced manufacturing workforce needs
- Establish Keysight as a long‑term ecosystem partner rather than a transactional supplier
- Position Keysight’s integrated portfolio—software, hardware, curriculum‑ready content—as scalable education solutions
- Drive adoption from teaching labs through advanced research environments
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to shape education offerings based on academic needs
- Drive sustained, high‑quality growth of the Education business in the Americas
- Build and manage a strategic opportunity pipeline focused on institution‑wide expansion
- Support sales teams by shaping opportunities and influencing decisions early
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master's preferred)
- 7–12+ years in business development, academic partnerships, or technical market development
- Experience engaging faculty, researchers, and academic leadership
- Strong understanding of engineering education labs and workflows
- Ability to influence decisions before formal procurement cycles
- Experience across universities, community colleges, and research institutions
- Familiarity with workforce development or industry-aligned education programs
- Background in test & measurement, engineering software, or technical platforms
