Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern/Co-Op who will be involved in researching, analyzing, and designing electrical systems while solving technical problems. The role includes responsibilities such as creating CAD diagrams, conducting schematic analysis, and participating in team meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Creating/Updating CAD electrical diagrams, performing simulations, collecting data and documenting technical procedures for research projects
- Conduct schematic analysis, layout reviews, and circuit design/redesign
- Use CAD and other software for simulation development and execution
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to design reviews, and work with cross-functional teams
Requirements:
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or directly related field
- The student must be willing/able to take a semester off to work through the Spring (January-June) or Fall (June-December) semester
- Minimum 3.0 GPA. Please note your GPA on your resume when submitting your application
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Security clearance
- US Citizenship required
- Willing and able to relocate to Reston, Virginia, if needed
- Foundational knowledge in circuit analysis
- Proficiency in simulation software (MATLAB, etc)
- Basic computer programming skills (Python, C/C++, etc)
- Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, C/C++, Python or VHDL/Verilog
- Foundational knowledge in either Chemical, Biological or Nuclear engineering
