Position: SQL Developer
Duration: 6+ months Contract
Location: Lansing, MI (On-Site from Day 1)

Note from the client:
- Candidate must be available for Onsite from Day 1, Tue/Wed mandatory, may transition to 5 days onsite)
- Interview Process: Vendor required to upload screenshot picture of candidate if interview is requested.
- Must be able to work onsite Tuesday & Wednesday each week (8 hours per day).
- Must be willing to transition to 5 days onsite if required (no remote-only option).
Max rate is $70/hrs all inclusive on Corp to Corp
Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, including packages, procedures, and functions
- 8+ years of experience using Oracle development tools such as Toad and/or SQL Developer
- 8+ years of experience designing, creating, and maintaining Oracle database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers)
- 8+ years of experience with logical and physical data modeling, including database normalization
- Proven experience supporting or integrating vendor-hosted or COTS systems
- 8+ years of experience with database programming for data migration and data conversion
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the CAPP project, which is a replacement of a legacy system, with a primary focus on data migration activities and ongoing maintenance support.
- Support the CAPP project as capacity allows. If CAPP does not require full utilization, the resource will be assigned to additional projects and support efforts as needed.
- Design, develop, and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers, constraints) to support application and integration requirements.
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions to support business logic, data services, and ETL processes.
- Support data design and modeling activities, including logical and physical data models and normalization.
- Lead and execute data migration and data conversion tasks for new implementations, upgrades, and system integrations.
- Develop and consume web services (SOAP/REST) used in data integrations between internal systems and vendor hosted COTS solutions.
- Analyze data and metadata to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with agency standards.
- Work closely with Data Architects and DBAs on performance tuning, code reviews, and database best practices.
- Troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
- Participate in planning, estimation, documentation, and technical design sessions for both new projects and ongoing maintenance efforts.
