QA Manager
3 to 6 months contract to hire
Hybrid (mostly work from home and required in office from time to time for meetings in NYC)
seeking a QA Manager on a temp-to-hire basis (onshore), with the intent to convert the resource to a full-time employee. The resource will lead QA strategy, execution, and governance across multiple projects.
Engagement Model
- Initial Contract Duration: 3 6 months (extendable based on performance)
- Work Model: Onsite/Hybrid
- Location: EST Preferred
Resource Profile Requirements
- Experience
- 10+ years in Quality Assurance
- Minimum 5+ years in QA Manager / Lead role
- Experience in large-scale, multi-system implementations
- Preferred Certifications
Mandatory Skill Set
Candidates must have demonstrable experience in:
- QA strategy, test planning, and estimation
- Managing end-to-end testing (functional, integration, UAT, regression)
- QA governance, metrics, and reporting
- Defect lifecycle management and triage
- Stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination
Tools & Technology
- Azure DevOps / JIRA / Smartsheets
- Automation exposure (Selenium, BrowserStack, Playwright etc.)
- API/integration testing (Postman)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own and drive QA strategy and execution
- Lead and manage QA teams across workstreams and regions
- Ensure test coverage, traceability, and execution quality
- Manage defect triage and resolution tracking
- Provide status reporting, metrics, and risk visibility
- Act as primary QA stakeholder interface
- Enforce release quality gates
- Drive process improvements and QA maturity
