Raytheon is the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeking a data engineer to develop and deploy data-driven systems solutions. The role involves analyzing ERP system information and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve performance in business planning and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize complex batch and near-real-time SQL queries to meet product requirements and business needs
- Architect, implement, deploy, and maintain data-driven solutions in Snowflake and Databricks
- Develop and manage data pipeline supporting multiple reports, tools, and applications
- Conduct advanced statistical analysis to yield actionable insights, identify correlations/trends, measure performance, and visualize disparate sources of data
- Lead and engage in requirement planning, trainings, and presentations with technical and non-technical teams
Requirements:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Strong experience with Snowflake and relational SQL database design, implementation, and optimization
- Hands‑on experience with data cleansing, curation, manipulation, mining, and analysis across disparate systems
- Practical experience with Git-based configuration control and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Degree in a technical field (CS, engineering, math, economics) and strong SQL‑based ETL/ELT expertise
- Experience with Python (Pandas), schema/deployment tools (SchemaChange, Liquibase), and data orchestration platforms (Snowflake Tasks, ADF, Matillion, etc.)
- Knowledge of data modeling, Agile development, API-driven data solutions, and relational web app databases
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, advanced Excel) and statistical/ML concepts
- Experience with manufacturing, supply chain, or operations systems; familiarity with ERP/MRP tools (SAP, Kinaxis)
