Volunteer Product Designer

Black Mental Health Matters Inc is dedicated to advancing mental wellness and increasing access to mental health resources for Black communities. They are seeking a creative and mission-driven Volunteer Product Designer to help shape engaging digital experiences that support their growing community.

Responsibilities:

• Design intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling digital products and user experiences
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and mockups for web and mobile platforms
• Improve the user experience of our website, donation systems, and online community tools
• Conduct basic user research to understand audience needs and pain points
• Collaborate with leadership, developers, marketers, and content teams
• Ensure designs reflect cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and accessibility standards
• Help establish brand consistency across digital products
• Recommend product improvements based on data, feedback, and best practices

Requirements:

• Experience in UX/UI, product design, or digital design
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Canva, or similar
• Understanding of user-centered design principles
• Passion for mental health equity and social impact
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience with nonprofits or startups is a plus
