Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Embedded Microelectronics Security Engineer to support clients by creating new tools and capabilities for evaluating hardware security in embedded electronics. The role involves designing and developing techniques for testing memory and security subsystems, while also providing leadership and mentoring to junior staff in a mission-oriented engineering group.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate hardware security implementation in embedded electronics
- Design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices
- Share electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff
- Use experience-based knowledge in embedded systems development and testing
- Broaden skill set into areas like advanced side-channel analysis, hardware-backed security components, and reverse engineering
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience with software development in C, C++, or Python
- 2+ years of experience with software, firmware, and hardware reverse engineering
- 2+ years of experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, JTAG, or SW debuggers
- 2+ years of experience designing and programming microcontroller or FPGA boards to monitor or communicate with internal buses
- 2+ years of experience using IDA Pro or Ghidra for reverse engineering
- Knowledge of ARM architecture and assembly language
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with software development, Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with software development, or Master's degree and 1+ years of experience with software development
- Experience with cryptography
- Master's degree in EE or Computer Engineering
