The Role
As an Electrical Engineer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Design Development:
- Prepare electrical load calculations, single-line diagrams, and equipment sizing.
- Design power distribution systems, lighting layouts, earthing systems, and cable routing.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IS codes, NFPA, and local regulations.
- Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordination & Documentation:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines for integrated design solutions.
- Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare technical reports, design presentations, and client documentation.
- Energy Efficiency & Safety:
- Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and sustainable design principles.
- Ensure designs meet safety standards and reliability requirements.
- Validate designs through simulations and short-circuit/voltage drop analysis.
- Support value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising quality.
- Critical Areas of experience :
- Direct experience in 2N / N+1 redundancy architecture.
- UPS topology design (centralized vs distributed) in ≥20 MW blocks.
- Generator synchronization & load sharing philosophy.
- Busway vs cable distribution decision logic for high-density halls.
- Short circuit & fault level mitigation for high IT harmonic loads.
- Protection coordination for dual utility feeds.
- Experience in ≥66kV / 132kV / 220kV grid interface (not just LT/MV).
- STS / ATS switching logic design for concurrent maintainability.
- Participation in IST / black building tests.
- Experience resolving site issues during energization.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or post-graduation from reputed college or university.
- 10–12 years of experience in electrical design for Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in software design ETAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IS, NFPA, NBC and local building codes & authorities.
- Excellent analytical, communication, coordination and leadership skills.
- Experience in large-scale projects such as Residential, Commercial, Hospitality Airports, Hospitals, Data Centers, or Industrial facilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with Revit and BIM workflows.
- Sustainable/green building management practices.
