Forward Deployed Software Engineer - Gunshot Detection (Fully Remote)

AmberBox is the industry leader in gunshot detection and response technology, and they are seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer. This role involves working directly with clients to understand their operational environments and translating those needs into software solutions while partnering with PMs and engineers to deploy features that address real-world problems.

Responsibilities:

• Working directly with our clients to understand their unique operational environments and translating those needs into shipped software
• Partner closely with PMs and other engineers to scope, build, and deploy features that solve real problems for Fortune 100 corporations, schools, professional sports teams, and more
• Adapting our platform to fit complex customer environments, integrating with a customer’s existing security infrastructure, customizing alerting workflows for a business’s operations team, or configuring platforms to address client needs
• Taking end-to-end ownership of features from customer conversation to production deployment

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in typed languages (Java, Kotlin, C++, C#, or TypeScript)
• Experience with back-end frameworks (Spring, Express/Inversify/typeORM)
• Experience with front-end tools (Angular, React, Vue, or NextJS)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs
• Experience implementing modern auth mechanisms (JWTs, SSO/SAML)
• Experience deploying with Kubernetes/Helm
