Senior Data Engineer

IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services and healthcare intelligence. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and optimize data pipelines for analytics platforms while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows for large-scale analytics and audience forecasting
• Work across the application stack, focusing primarily on backend data engineering
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
• Collaborate with global engineering pods to maintain consistent coding standards
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and contractors, fostering technical growth
• Partner with product managers and peers to translate business requirements into scalable solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including at least 2–3 years in a senior-level role
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: Google Cloud and AWS preferred; Azure acceptable
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts; experience with BigQuery or similar technologies
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders
• Experience with JavaScript (legacy code support)
• Familiarity with Snowflake or other modern data platforms
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and interest in applying them to data engineering
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus
