Full-stack engineer

Veritec AI develops AI-powered document processing solutions for legal and medical professionals. They are seeking a Full-stack Engineer to work on a React/TypeScript frontend and a NestJS backend API, focusing on document interaction patterns and AI integrations.

Responsibilities:

• A React/TypeScript frontend with document interaction patterns including long-running async status flows and AI chat interfaces
• A NestJS backend API that coordinates user-facing features with asynchronous background processing
• Background services that ingest and structure medical documents using OCR and LLMs
• Azure-hosted infrastructure running on Kubernetes
• AI integrations across multiple providers including Azure OpenAI and Google Gemini

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of professional experience building full stack web applications
• Solid TypeScript — React on the client, Node.js on the server
• Comfortable with relational databases: writing queries, understanding indexes, participating in schema decisions
• Experience consuming or building REST APIs and working across frontend/backend boundaries
• A habit of writing code that others can read and build on
• Able to take a feature from design to shipped with guidance but not hand-holding
• Any experience with async or event-driven backend patterns (queues, workers, pub/sub)
• Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on work with LLM APIs or AI-powered features
• Experience with Azure services or similar cloud platforms
• Python for scripting or data-plane work
