Job Description
What You Get To Do:
The registered nurse will assure that each individual in assigned programs receives quality, individualized health care management resulting in optimal health. Health care will be provided to individuals in a manner which is normalizing, sensitive to their needs and respectful of their dignity, while encouraging autonomy.
The registered nurse functions as a health resource to staff and will, in addition to other duties:
- Assure that the home is in compliance with all licensure requirements.
- Assure organizational policies regarding health issues, medical care and records.
- Provide oversight to ensure documentation, health/clinical assessments, and billing are in compliance with Medicaid regulations.
- Provide health care supports on an as needed basis.
- Supervise medication administration of non-licensed staff in residential home support settings and day programs.
Qualifications
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse license to practice nursing in the state of Louisiana.
- Must have experience in a supervisory position in nursing
- Must have 1-2 years of experience supporting individuals in an Intermediate Care Facility.
- Prior education and/or experience working with the developmentally disabled or other long-term care or home health care experience is preferred.
- Mature, flexible, self-motivated, dependable and able to work cooperatively with individuals, staff, interdisciplinary team members and outside agencies.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and acceptable driving record
- Work M-F and be flexible for on-call responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
