Clevanoo LLC is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be instrumental in standardizing and maturing CI/CD pipeline processes across the organization, requiring deep expertise in modern DevOps tooling and the ability to drive best practices across multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Pipeline Standardization & Optimization
- Design, implement, and document standardized CI/CD pipeline templates and patterns that can be adopted organization-wide. Evaluate current build, test, and deployment workflows and establish a unified, repeatable process that reduces cycle time and increases release confidence. Define pipeline-as-code standards, branching strategies, and release gating criteria
- Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles. Implement and manage containerized workloads and orchestration platforms. Ensure environments are consistent, reproducible, and version-controlled
- Toolchain Management & Integration
- Administer and optimize the core DevOps toolchain, including Harness for continuous delivery, GitHub for source control and collaboration, and JIRA for project tracking and workflow management. Integrate these tools into a cohesive delivery workflow with clear traceability from ticket to deployment
- Reliability & Observability
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting standards for deployed services. Define and track key delivery metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR). Identify and remediate bottlenecks, flaky tests, and recurring failure patterns in the delivery pipeline
- Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner with development, QA, and platform teams to drive adoption of standardized pipelines and DevOps practices. Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and training materials. Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions to ensure long-term sustainability beyond the contract period
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a closely related infrastructure/platform engineering role
- Proven experience designing and standardizing CI/CD pipelines across multiple teams or business units, including defining templates, governance policies, and rollout strategies
- Strong hands-on proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Deep experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent)
- Expertise in Azure Cloud, including networking, IAM, and managed services
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Powershell preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence engineering teams and articulate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and Azure-native networking and identity services
- Hands-on experience with Harness for continuous delivery and deployment automation
- Proficiency with GitHub (including branch protection rules and code review workflows)
- Working knowledge of JIRA for sprint planning, issue tracking, and DevOps workflow integration
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and policy-as-code
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/DevOps Engineer Expert
