Pearson is fundamentally reimagining how educational products are built, from first concept through learner impact. The Workflow Transformation Analyst is a hands-on change agent who will partner with various teams to dismantle legacy bottlenecks, design AI-native workflows, and establish scalable operating models that enhance speed to market and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Tear apart end-to-end workflows across content creation, production, QA, and release—then redesign them for radical efficiency, eliminating handoff waste and compressing cycle times
- Architect next-generation operating models and workflow blueprints that become the gold standard across Pearson’s product portfolio—not incremental tweaks, but step-change transformations
- Be the tip of the spear on AI-native workflow design—identify and implement high-impact automation opportunities using generative AI, agentic AI, and intelligent tooling to replace manual, error-prone work with scalable, self-improving systems
- Drive the delivery of digital content and online course programs with urgency and accountability—owning outcomes, not just timelines
- Own the full initiative lifecycle—planning, dependency mapping, risk mitigation, and delivery health—with a bias toward unblocking teams and accelerating momentum, not administering status reports
- Rally and align matrixed, cross-functional teams around shared transformation goals—building coalitions, not just coordinating calendars
- Lead high-energy workshops, transformation sprints, and workflow deep dives that produce concrete, implementable change—not slide decks that gather dust
- Hunt for and unlock cross-Business Unit synergies—reusable patterns, shared tooling, and common operating models that multiply impact beyond any single team
- Establish transparent, data-driven progress tracking that keeps transformation initiatives honest and on the rails—surfacing risks early and driving corrective action fast
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in workflow design, process transformation, and operating model architecture—you've redesigned how work gets done, not just documented it
- A track record of leading cross-functional transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations—managing dependencies, breaking logjams, and shipping results
- Exceptional communication and influence skills—you can sell a new way of working to skeptics and energize teams around bold change
- Hands-on fluency with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models—and the judgment to know when to flex the framework
- Proficiency with modern workflow and collaboration tooling (Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams) and a hunger to push beyond them
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and practical experience applying generative AI and prompt engineering to real business workflows
- Technical literacy (HTML, scripting, or low-code platforms) sufficient to prototype and validate automation ideas—you don't just spec it, you prove it
- You thrive in ambiguity, move fast when others are paralyzed, and bring contagious energy to high-stakes transformation work
- Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent practical experience)
