Summary The role of a Senior Infrastructure Architect centers on designing, securing, and continuously improving enterprise network and security infrastructure, with working knowledge of cloud platforms. The Senior Infrastructure Architect is a technical authority who ensures the organization’s networks, security controls, and hybrid environments are resilient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Core areas of focus include enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing and switching), security architecture (Zero Trust, firewalls, IAM, endpoint protection), and cloud integration (primarily Azure).
As the Senior Infrastructure Architect some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include:
• Ability to understand customer needs to develop long term solutions.
• Key Contributor to the list of infrastructure design activities.
• Provides technical expertise and support to fellow technical staff throughout the company.
• Serves as a technical resource point for field and IT resources as needed.
• Assist MSP support model for cloud, data center, windows systems, storage, network and related applications.
• Effectively prioritizes activities in alignment with overall business objectives.
• Ensures change management processes are followed.
• Ability to work individually and as a team to meet deadlines and achieve results.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise network architecture including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and network segmentation strategies.
• Creating/Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures where needed.
• Architect and enforce enterprise security controls including Zero Trust frameworks, firewall policy, network access control (NAC), and identity and access management (IAM).
• Lead threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and remediation planning in collaboration with the security team.
• Integrate Azure cloud services into the hybrid infrastructure, ensuring secure connectivity, governance, and compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level infrastructure engineers, establishing technical standards and conducting design reviews.
Must-Have
Deep expertise in enterprise networking: LAN/WAN design, SD-WAN, routing, VLANs, and network segmentation; hands-on Azure experience required.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Strong leadership, relationship management, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with global teams and manage priorities.
Established track record in enterprise systems management.
Strong expertise in network security: firewalls (Cisco/Meraki/Palo Alto), Zero Trust architecture, IAM, endpoint security, and vulnerability management; virtualization (VMware preferred) and Microsoft server platforms required.
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk preferred) and security incident response processes; familiarity with NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001 frameworks a plus.
Experience deploying and configuring monitoring tools.
Experience leading systems architecture, technologies and methodologies.
Discipline to work remotely and communicate clearly.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Mentoring skills: experience with training and educating teammates or colleagues on contemporary operational best practices.
Positive attitude.
Build infrastructure diagrams of current and future designs (Visio preferred).
Strong troubleshooting methodology with out of the box thinking.
Ability to lead deep technical design discussions within your team, and across partner teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to drive problem situations to positive outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a concentration in the field of computer science or related technical discipline.
8+ years of progressive infrastructure experience, with at least 4 years in a senior or lead architect capacity; experience in manufacturing or CPG environments preferred.
Relevant certifications strongly preferred: CCNP/CCIE (Cisco), CISSP or CISM (security), or Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-700/AZ-305).
