
JOB SUMMARY:
Manufacture standard production and customized aircraft furniture.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work from orders and blueprints to build and assemble small aircraft furniture per specifications. May work under guidance of higher grade furniture builder(s).
· Operates equipment such as table saw, band saw, platen press, hand and table router and sander with minimal assistance.
· Uses small and large power tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, routers, saws, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments.
· Use of precision measurement devices.
· Operates spray gun for adhesive spray according to company specifications
· Applies laminate and veneer to composite and other materials.
· Accurately record information required for data collection and material traceability with assistance
· Understand and respond to budget hours and schedule requirements with assistance
· Responsible only for own work.
· Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification, and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
· 6+ months of related experience in assembly and/or composite.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety
shoes and protective clothing could be required.
