Highbrow LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of experience to support and enhance their cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in AWS, CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, security, and production reliability, thriving in remote environments while leading DevOps best practices across distributed teams.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on AWS
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
- Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
- Ensure cloud security using IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, network controls, and compliance standards
- Perform AWS cost optimization and resource utilization analysis
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve system resilience
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, architecture, and security teams for seamless deployments
- Mentor junior engineers and establish DevOps standards
Requirements:
- 8+ years of IT experience with strong DevOps / Cloud Engineering background
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Platform
- Strong expertise in AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, Route53, VPC, CloudFront, ELB, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch
- Strong experience with Terraform / CloudFormation
- Expert-level CI/CD pipeline implementation and release automation
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash / Python / PowerShell)
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, SSL, VPN, and load balancing
- Experience supporting production environments and on-call rotations
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional / Solutions Architect Professional
- Experience with multi-cloud platforms (Azure / GCP)
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Helm
- Knowledge of SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, or other compliance frameworks
