Responsibilities & Required Skills
- The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, along with strong project management experience and a proven track record of successful delivery in the Financial Services domain.
- Act as a change agent, fostering collaboration and driving teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong experience working in Agile environments with a solid understanding of Agile practices and principles.
- Proficient in facilitating Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to ensure solution-focused discussions.
- Experience in helping Agile teams establish and adhere to best practices and norms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to resolve challenges and remove roadblocks.
- Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, identifying innovative ways to enhance team performance.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive outcomes across teams.
- Strong focus on cross-functional collaboration, communication, and breaking down silos.
- Work closely within squads to drive performance using Agile values, practices, and processes.
- Partner with the Product Owner to manage the backlog and support sprint execution.
- Monitor team performance using metrics dashboards, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide transparency to stakeholders (e.g., Fleet Delivery Lead) regarding risks, blockers, and impediments, and recommend solutions.
- Conduct Agile maturity assessments to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners on quarterly planning (IBR) aligned with business objectives and roadmaps.
- Participate in all key Agile ceremonies, including Scrum of Scrums, IBR Planning, check-ins, and demos.
- Act as a coach and mentor to continuously improve squad performance.
- Ensure completion of Agile training and maintain accurate team rosters.
- Maintain JIRA hygiene, dashboards, and reporting to drive data-informed decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and resolve impediments to meet deadlines.
- Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and change management tools (e.g., Remedy).
- Follow release and change management processes, including creating and managing change requests.
- Monitor deployments during releases and ensure smooth execution.
- Identify opportunities and provide tactical and strategic recommendations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
- Hands-on project management approach with a proven record of successful project execution.
- Plan and conduct meetings with key stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
Desired Skills
- Experience working on technology projects within the Financial Services domain.
- Knowledge of Wealth Management, Analytics, and Data platforms.
- Strong expertise in Scrum principles and Agile methodologies.
- Scrum Master Certification (preferred).
