Senior QA Automation Engineer

Techgene Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with over 8 years of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality deliverables through robust automation strategies and continuous testing practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright
• Write robust, reusable, and maintainable test scripts using TypeScript/JavaScript
• Perform UI and API automation testing across web applications
• Implement Page Object Model (POM) and other best practices
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Execute cross-browser and parallel testing
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams in Agile environments
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution
• Improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and enhance test efficiency
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior QA engineers

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Software QA and Automation Testing
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Experience in designing automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM)
• Experience with API testing (REST services)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
