Prolific is building the biggest pool of quality human data in the world, and they are seeking Product Designers and UX Specialists to join their Expert Network. The role involves training and evaluating AI models using real design expertise, including assessing AI-generated designs and ensuring adherence to accessibility standards.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate LLM-Generated Designs: assess AI-generated wireframes, user flows, and product requirements for usability and logical consistency
- Audit Accessibility & Inclusion: review model outputs to ensure they adhere to modern accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Fact-Check UX Principles: validate that model suggestions align with established design patterns and psychological principles (e.g., Fitts's Law, Gestalt principles)
- Annotate Design Logic: identify gaps in user journeys, redundant steps in a flow, or poor visual hierarchy in AI-proposed interfaces
- Refine Product Requirements: evaluate AI-generated PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) for clarity, feasibility, and user value
Requirements:
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX Design, Product Design, or a related field
- At least one year of experience designing digital products, conducting user research, or building design systems in a professional environment
- A deep understanding of usability heuristics, accessibility standards (WCAG), and user-centered design principles
- The ability to provide high-quality feedback on UI layouts, user flows, and information architecture
- Experience balancing user needs with business goals and technical constraints
- Proficiency in explaining the 'why' behind design decisions and critiquing AI-generated designs for functional and aesthetic quality
- A Paypal account to receive payment from our clients
- Advanced knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch
- Experience with high-fidelity prototyping tools (Protopie, Framer) and handoff processes
- Familiarity with tools like Maze, UserTesting, or Hotjar to validate design hypotheses
- Proficiency with Jira, Linear, or Notion for documenting product lifecycles and specs
