Atlas HXM is a global organization focused on providing services and technology for talent management. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and build Extended Workforce Payments products, overseeing contractor onboarding, compliance, and global payouts.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end product ownership of new Extended Workforce solutions, beginning with AOR
- Contractor lifecycle:
- Onboarding & classification
- Contracts & documentation
- Invoicing & payouts
- Build compliant flows for North America (US + Canada) with extensibility for global expansion
- Design and scale multi-currency, cross-border payment experiences
- Partner deeply with legal, compliance, finance, and ops to translate regulatory complexity into product
- Define and drive core metrics:
- Activation & onboarding completion
- Payment success rates
- Compliance coverage
- Revenue & margin
- Work closely with engineering to build reliable, scalable systems (not duct-taped workflows)
- Talk to users constantly - HR, finance, operations, Independent contractors, customers - and turn insights into product bets
Requirements:

- Work closely with engineering to build reliable, scalable systems (not duct-taped workflows)
- Talk to users constantly - HR, finance, operations, Independent contractors, customers - and turn insights into product bets
- Built or led products in AOR / COR / EOR, Contractor management platforms, Global payroll or contractor payments
- Understand worker classification (and how risky it gets), Tax forms (W-9, W-8BEN, 1099 workflows), Cross-border payments (FX, rails, delays, failures)
- AI-literate and forward-thinking, Comfortable using AI tools (LLMs, automation, Claude, Figma etc) in your day-to-day workflow
- Able to identify opportunities to embed AI into product experiences (e.g., compliance automation, document processing, risk detection)
- Stay current with emerging AI capabilities and apply them pragmatically—not just as hype
- 3–5+ years in product, with experience in early-stage or high-growth environments or at a company within the hiring services spaces
- Comfortable going from zero structure → shipped product → scaled system
- Can balance speed vs risk vs quality without getting stuck
- Payments, compliance, onboarding - these aren't features to you, they are systems
- Know how to design for edge cases, failures, and scale
- Don't overbuild - but you also don't cut corners where it matters
- Can work through ambiguity without waiting for perfect clarity
- Familiarity with payment rails (ACH, wire, wallets, Stripe, etc.)
- Exposure to compliance-heavy or regulated environments
