Director of Product Design

Tremendous is a global platform that enables businesses to send payouts efficiently and flexibly. They are seeking a Director of Product Design to lead the product design function, manage a team, and ensure high-quality design work while collaborating with various partners.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure we consistently ship high-quality, usable product experiences
• Review design work and provide clear, thoughtful feedback
• Partner with product managers to ensure strong context, requirements, and research
• Own and evolve our product design system
• Manage and grow a small team of product designers
• Contribute directly as a hands-on designer
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and brand partners

Requirements:

• 8+ years of product design experience
• Recent hands-on experience shipping product design work
• Exceptional UX and visual design sense
• Experience owning end-to-end design, including design systems
• Strategic approach to design direction, not just execution
• Ability to connect design decisions to user and business outcomes
• Experience using AI tools in your design workflow and prototyping
• People management experience
• Experience providing direction, context, and feedback to designers without micromanaging
• A collaborative, low-ego working style
