Senior Software Business Analyst

The Senior Software Business Analyst will support the Regulatory Content Operations team by managing tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of business systems within SAP Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) systems.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Regulatory Content Operations team by ensuring goals and objectives are met within the expected time frame
• Work independently to manage tasks including the formulation and definition of scope based on client needs, a thorough understanding of the business systems, and industry
• Ensure solutions meet or exceed customer expectations
• Able to educate and guide other technical and non-technical members of the team on carrying out and understanding SAP system activities
• Assist customers and product development team members with technical questions and/or troubleshoot issues related to Regulatory Content product components
• Work with system support to resolve questions, problems, and enhancement requests
• Support other departments, divisions, and organizations as needed

Requirements:

• Education to degree level and/or 4+ years equivalent commercial experience
• Generally, 4 Years or more of related experience or demonstrated competency
• Has a thorough understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of each development process
• In depth knowledge and experience in using a range of analysis tools and techniques, including process flow diagrams, sequence flow diagrams, business process models, use cases data dictionaries, discovery sessions, requirements reviews and user stories
• Can proactively identify where appropriate techniques should be used to the benefit of ongoing complex programs of work
• Able to guide and mentor more junior members of the BA community in the application of such techniques
• Can apply this business knowledge to the benefit of ongoing projects
• Significant experience in working with 3rd party suppliers and/or customers
• Can form strong working relationships with such partners and manage these relationships proactively
• Ability to clearly communicate and write from a process orientated point of view
• Ability to work effectively with others including product owners and other stakeholders, managers, developers and testers, manual testers
• Demonstrates an aptitude to self-learn and encourages self-learning in others
• Able to share knowledge with Business Analysis colleagues and across multi-functional teams
• Ability to handle multiple complex ongoing projects of varying priorities is a must
• Ability to self-start and self-manage is a must
• Automatically seeks to solve problems using critical thinking

• SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA
• SAP EHS (a.k.a. Product Compliance (classic)) Module
• Technical experience involving the following activities: Specification Management + Configuration, create and manage specifications, data entry, basic understanding of functional processes
• SAP EHS Expert Rules Server + Expert Rules installation, configuration, and testing
• SAP Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) + Install, configure, and test WWI SDS Templates
• Analytical skills + Ability to use logs, tools, and deductive reasoning to quickly identify issues and determine the root cause and resolution + Ability to assess issues and functional needs and provide suggestions of viable solutions
• Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word + Intermediate level of understanding how to use Access and Excel for various purposes related to content management + Intermediate level of skill and experience with Word to author and support technical documentation for both internal and external software and content products
• Chemical industry and/or Chemical related Regulatory knowledge
• SAP S/4HANA Product Compliance (new) Module
• SAP EHS Expert Rules source code development + Create new rules + Troubleshoot and fix existing rule code
• SAP Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) Template development + Edit existing WWI templates + Create new WWI templates
• SAP EHS Module Implementation + Setup the EHS module within a new SAP environment + Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within SAP EHS environments
• SAP BASIS Experience + SAP system core configuration setup and testing in new or existing environments
• Database Management + Relational Database Management Concepts + Microsoft SQL Server (any version) + Structured Query Language (SQL / T-SQL) + Oracle database management (any version)
