We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team in Irvine, California on a Contract basis. In this role, you will support product development by translating design intent into accurate visual and technical documentation while helping ensure consistency, quality, and readiness for production. This position works closely with design, development, and external partners to keep projects moving on schedule and aligned with brand expectations.
Responsibilities:
Develop clear visual and technical design materials that guide products from initial concept through final production approval.
Create and refine pattern-related assets, specifications, and supporting documentation to maintain consistency across product lines and manufacturing partners.
Partner with design, product development, and vendors to align product execution with brand standards, quality expectations, and cost targets.
Prepare prototypes for review and participate in fit evaluations, documenting updates and translating feedback into actionable revisions.
Build and maintain technical packages that include measurements, construction details, grading information, and correction notes for sampling and costing.
Monitor workflow against seasonal deadlines and coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep deliverables on track.
Identify opportunities to improve fit, construction quality, and overall development efficiency throughout the production cycle.
Maintain a detail-oriented, collaborative approach while following company policies and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Technical Design, Design, Product Development, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience supporting technical design or product development within a fast-paced team environment.
Strong ability to interpret fit adjustments and convert three-dimensional feedback into clear two-dimensional pattern or design direction.
Solid understanding of garment construction, product engineering, grading, and manufacturing workflows.
Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication, organization, time management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Experience working directly with factories or sample rooms is advantageous.
Background creating brochures, pattern-based design assets, or other production-ready graphic materials is a plus.
