Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team as a cyber mission specialist. In this role, you will utilize your skills in security implementation and development to evaluate cybersecurity solutions and support command and control operations for critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Experience with programming or scripting languages, including C, C++, PowerShell, and Python
- Knowledge of general computer systems, information security software and hardware components, network systems, databases, or information security safeguards
- Knowledge of information system security principles, approaches, and technologies
- Ability to break down complex information technology systems, including cloud, servers, firewalls, routers, and switches
- Ability to communicate technical details to various levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring or Summer 2026
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II+ Certification such as Security+ Certification, within 90 days of start date
- Experience analyzing network configurations and network architecture diagrams
- Experience working on major DoD space programs
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting
- Secret clearance
- Master's degree
- Security+ Certification
