Senior Software Engineer - AI Solutions (Contingent Role)
About the Job

In this role, you will work on complex, high-impact software engineering initiatives focused on AI-enabled solutions. You will collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering partners to design, build, and scale AI-driven workflows and platforms. This position requires strong technical judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces while delivering enterprise-quality solutions.
Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to understand business needs and identify AI-enabled solutions.
• Design, prototype, and implement AI-driven workflows, agents, copilots, and automations using large language models (LLMs) and enterprise AI services.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce, data platforms, internal services) using secure APIs and orchestration patterns.
• Rapidly iterate on prototypes and evolve them into production-ready solutions that meet enterprise standards for reliability, scalability, and supportability.
• Serve as a technical bridge across business, product, data, security, and engineering teams to ensure solutions are aligned, usable, and compliant.
• Lead solution architecture and design efforts, including:
  • Prompt engineering and AI workflow design
  • API integration and service orchestration
  • Enterprise data and knowledge integration
  • Security, privacy, risk, and governance considerations
• Own solutions end to end-from concept and proof of value through production deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Apply and advocate for responsible AI best practices, including model risk management, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to reusable patterns, standards, and documentation to support scalable AI adoption across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience gained through work, consulting, education, training, or military service.
• Experience designing and delivering complex software solutions that span multiple systems or teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI/ML systems, including large language models and enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience with API-based integrations, distributed systems, or workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, privacy, and governance requirements.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional partners.
