Role Overview

Our client is seeking a junior, product-minded Software Developer (Builder) to help rapidly build and iterate on prototypes that progress into production-ready solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on building, enjoys ambiguity, and is deeply curious about how technology translates into real business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and iterate on rapid prototypes, taking them through production
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand problems and deliver solutions
• Apply a product-first mindset with an emphasis on user experience and outcomes
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and experimentation
• Clearly articulate technical decisions and trade-offs

Required Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (strong preference for University of Texas graduates)
• 3+ years of coding experience outside of academic coursework
• Portfolio required (live products, GitHub, or project demos)
• Strong ability to communicate ideas clearly and thoughtfully

Required Technical Skills

• Golang
• TypeScript
• Python

Preferred / Ideal Experience

• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
• Strong HackerRank (or similar) profile, with current or recent results
• Experience with rapid, product-focused prototyping (not traditional backend-heavy roles)
• Evidence of stakeholder collaboration and business-outcome orientation
