Role Summary

The client is seeking a Cloud Architect Lead with a strong Cloud Security and hands on automation background to join its Cybersecurity organization. This role will partner closely with Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams to ensure the secure design, configuration, and operation of client's multi cloud environments.

This position is ideal for a Cloud Security Architect or Cloud Platform Developer with deep expertise in Azure security, scripting, and automation-particularly WIZ Cloud Security Platform integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform
• Develop and maintain Azure cloud automation scripts, including WIZ triggered workflows
• Conduct cloud security assessments and ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST and CIS
• Lead and support cloud incident response, including tabletop exercises
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure secure CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Ensure strong IAM, privileged access management, and user access controls
• Partner with GRC teams on cloud security policies and standards
• Perform architecture and application security reviews; identify gaps and mitigation plans
• Manage CSPM and container security tools with a hands on approach
• Serve as a Cloud Security SME on emerging threats and best practices
• Optimize resource utilization and cloud security cost efficiencies
• Mentor and support junior team members

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of hands on cloud cybersecurity experience
• Strong experience securing and supporting Microsoft 365 services, including:
• Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune & Configuration Manager)
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), ADFS
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies: VMs, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, IaC
• Advanced Azure experience, including:
• Azure AD, MFA, Management Groups, Resource Groups
• Azure Networking (VNETs, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute)
• Azure Functions, Firewalls, IPsec, Key Vault
• Experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines
• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience in Python, .NET, or Java
• Hands on cloud security testing experience (Azure preferred)
• Experience with container and cloud security automation
• Knowledge of Azure configuration best practices
• Relevant certifications preferred, including:
• Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ 500)
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ 104)
• Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate
• M365 Security Certification
