Senior Full Stack Engineer

Centene Corporation is a diversified, national organization focused on improving health outcomes through technology. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions, collaborating with various roles to ensure high-quality applications.

Responsibilities:

• Defines complex technical specifications development/application projects
• Acts as a subject matter expert to collaborate and communicate internal and external departmental interdependence across products and projects
• Leads participation in full-stack web development workflow from front end to backend leveraging CI/CD
• Writes complex code for software defined infrastructure
• Engages in the process for technical issue escalation and assists in prioritizing technical issue resolution
• Correlates and document solutions to issues; follow appropriate testing practices to deliver high-quality error free solutions/applications within a predefined time schedule
• Contributes to planning, budget management, formulation of procedures, and resource planning
• Applies modern frameworks and technologies
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
• 4 – 6 years of related experience
• Knowledge of best practices in Web development, concept validations, experimentation, A/B testing, CI/CD
• Experience with Agile Software Development
• Experience with databases (e.g. Postgres, MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience with web servers (e.g. Nginx, Apache)
• Knowledge of common stacks like Kubernetes and Rancher
• Experience with multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, vue.js/Angular/React)
• Experience with multiple back-end technologies (e.g. Ruby, Java, javascript) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Node.js)
• Experience with Project Management
• Knowledge of public cloud providers
• Intermediate ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Intermediate ability to work independently
• Intermediate demonstrated analytical skills
• Intermediate demonstrated project management skills
