Thermo Fisher Scientific is a global leader in providing solutions for the healthcare and research sectors. They are seeking a Senior OEM Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth by building long-term partnerships with OEMs in life sciences and diagnostics, leveraging expertise in molecular technologies and complex deal negotiation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, focusing on building long-term relationships with OEM partners in the life sciences, diagnostics, and laboratory automation markets
- Identify new business opportunities, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and ensure successful execution of partner commitments
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business growth within the Genetic Sciences Division
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any life science field + minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including lead development, negotiation of Supply Agreements, sales funnel management, product development/commercialization and competitive market research
- Understanding of molecular technologies, immunodiagnostics, and laboratory automation workflows (specifically microarray, capillary electrophoresis sequencing, qPCR and dPCR)
- Track record of complex deal negotiation and closing large commercial agreements
- Experience managing strategic accounts and developing long-term partner relationships
- Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce
- Project management and cross-functional team leadership abilities
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Financial acumen and business case development capabilities
- Ability to travel up to 50% for customer visits, trade shows, and internal meetings
- Valid driver's license and passport required
- Ability to work independently and navigate matrix organizations effectively
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred
- Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with regulatory requirements in IVD/pharma industries preferred
- Multilingual capabilities preferred for international positions
