Title: Network Data Analyst
Duration: 12 Months
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large volumes of configuration data from routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to detect inconsistencies, misconfigurations, or policy deviations.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring automation failures across provisioning, config pushes, validation workflows, and other automated tasks.
- Create pattern recognition models or rule based analytics to detect systemic issues, configuration drift, and common sources of failure. Automation & Tooling Insights
- Review logs, automation outputs, and exception data to identify failure modes in automated workflows.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve automation resilience and data quality (e.g., schema issues, edge case handling, device specific quirks).
- Work with automation engineers to validate fixes, enhancements, or new detection rules. Data Engineering & Visualization
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data pipelines that surface anomalies, trends, and KPIs related to network config health and automation success rates.
- Develop scripts and analytical models using Python, SQL, or similar tools to streamline data processing and pattern detection.
- Ensure data integrity across sources such as inventory systems, config repositories, telemetry platforms, and automation logs. Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Network Engineering and Reliability Engineering teams to translate analytical findings into operational improvements.
- Participate in incident reviews and post mortems to provide data driven insights.
- Support standards development by identifying common misconfigurations and configuration policy gaps.
