Summary:
- The main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates quality objectives with other departments
- Drives continuous improvement by developing and implementing error and mistake proofing
- Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems
- Drive issues to closure through the various quality feedback loops
- Analyzes assembly process data to look for trends or possible upcoming concerns.
- Works with Advanced Quality Tools (i.e., PFMEAs) to ensure a quality assembly process
- Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems
- Analyzes SPC data and works with manufacturing engineering to make process improvements
- Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations
- Facilitate others in the executions of Quality Improvement activities
- To work in a plant environment, working hands-on with engine assembly
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
2-4 years experience required.
