Job Overview:
Pay Range $45hr - $50hr
- The Network Administrator will work as part of a highly collaborative team, supporting business-critical connectivity and network modernization initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and deploy network architecture to support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud (Azure/AWS) networking requirements.
- Manage and support Cisco routing and switching technologies, including Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
- Implement, configure, and support BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing, including traffic engineering, route filtering, route reflectors, policy controls, and route optimization.
- Lead and support network design, migration, and implementation projects, including adoption of new routing architectures using BGP.
- Configure and manage firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, F5 Big IP) with BGP integration and advanced security policies.
- Provide strong hands-on support for Microsoft Azure networking, including VPNs, cloud to on-prem connectivity, VNET/VPC design, subnetting, and hybrid network architectures. Troubleshoot complex network performance issues using packet captures, logs, and diagnostic tools.
- Coordinate with network service providers and vendors to design enterprise network topology, routing, and service levels. Implement alerting, monitoring, and response runbooks across network platforms to ensure optimal availability and performance.
- Follow established Incident, Problem Management, and CAB processes.
- Perform capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and ensure infrastructure meets current and future business demands.
- Support project and implementation teams in delivering network solutions in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Participate in lifecycle management activities such as software upgrades, hardware refreshes, and platform standardization.
- Install, operate, and maintain network and security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus solutions.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend network products, tools, and standards aligned with organizational goals.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates, explain technical decisions, and support business outcomes.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Required Experience (2 4+ Years) Hands-On Experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- BGP routing (traffic engineering, route filtering, route reflectors, policy controls, optimization).
- Palo Alto Networks Firewalls. Cisco Catalyst & Nexus.
- Cisco Unified Wireless (ISE, Prime Infrastructure). F5 Big IP (multiple products).
- Strong experience with public cloud networking, especially Microsoft Azure (VPNs, hybrid connectivity, VNET/VPC design, subnetting).
- Experience configuring and managing firewalls with BGP integration.
- Experience working on network migration and implementation projects.
