Client is seeking a skilled developer to support our Python/ROS2-based system utilizing COTS hardware. This dynamic role involves working at the intersection of software development and hardware integration in our innovative space technology environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support development, provisioning, and checkout of Python/ROS2-based systems using COTS hardware

1. Develop and update device drivers to ensure optimal system performance

1. Implement provisioning process improvements through automation and scripting

1. Conduct software checkout and troubleshooting on testbeds and hardware

1. Contribute to system reliability and performance enhancements

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python (tools/automation); strong experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

1. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot both basic hardware (wiring, power) issues and software issues.

1. Proficiency with scripting and automation tools

1. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Bash

1. Hardware/software integration experience

1. Familiarity with EtherCAT and/or motor drivers

1. Experience with ROS/ROS2, instrumentation/control systems, driver/platform debugging, data acquisition/measurement theory, or debugging auto-generated code.
