Arena Club is redefining the sports cards and memorabilia landscape through the industry’s first digital card show. They are seeking a QA Engineer to act as a technical gatekeeper for quality, ensuring that every developer ticket is manually verified and approved before release, while also focusing on automation and performance testing.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the final checkpoint for every developer ticket, performing manual verification and release testing to ensure all regression and automation tests pass
- Build and maintain end-to-end (E2E) test suites using Playwright and TypeScript, focusing on new feature development and closing existing automation gaps
- Leverage SQL to perform data validation, investigate complex technical support escalations, and troubleshoot backend workflows
- Own the execution of functional, non-functional, regression, and smoke testing, with a specific focus on performance testing across different mobile devices
- Partner with Engineers to define test coverage while developers manage unit/integration tests, ensuring a robust E2E testing layer
- Log, track, and retest defects with high-precision documentation and reproducible steps
Requirements:
- 4+ years of QA Engineering experience in a fast-paced software environment
- Strong hands-on experience writing and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
- Solid SQL skills (including joins and complex queries) to assist with technical support and data integrity checks
- Prior experience in a technical customer support role or a high-collaboration engineering environment
- A disciplined approach to manual testing for critical flows and a commitment to high-quality documentation
- Comfortable working as a contractor in a global, distributed team
- Specific experience performing automation and performance testing across a variety of mobile devices (real devices, not emulators) using Appium
