Definitive Healthcare is a company focused on transforming data and analytics into actionable intelligence for the healthcare sector. They are seeking a Product Operations Manager who will enhance internal processes, analytics, and tooling, ensuring the Product Development Lifecycle operates efficiently across multiple product lines. This role is critical in driving strategic initiatives, improving ways of working, and ensuring alignment across various teams in the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Own the PDLC as a Product
- Become a deep expert in our Product Development Lifecycle across multiple product lines and engineering teams —identifying friction, gaps, and inconsistencies
- Maintain a prioritized roadmap and backlog for your own work, just as a PM would for a product —regularly communicating priorities, progress, and impact to stakeholders
- Partner with Product Managers to continuously improve ways of working across discovery, business case development, prioritization, roadmapping, release readiness, and communication
- Drive adoption of PDLC best practices across the org, treating change management as a core part of the job
- Partner with Product Managers to identify and embed AI tools into the PDLC —from discovery and synthesis to documentation and prioritization —helping the team work faster without adding complexity
- Own and evolve our product tooling stack (Claude, Jira, Pendo, Confluence, Tempo, and others), ensuring tools actively support PDLC workflows and planning needs
- Demonstrate clear, measurable business value from tooling investments —not just deployment, but adoption and outcomes
- Serve as the subject matter expert for how tools connect to process, and advocate for improvements based on user feedback
- Own internal product analytics —build and maintain dashboards and reporting that surface product usage patterns, feature adoption, product health, and ROI
- Bring data into the PDLC at every stage: analyze customer feedback, financial performance, and usage data to inform prioritization and planning
- Partner with Product Strategy, Product Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure market and customer insights are systematized and flowing into product decisions
- Establish and maintain scalable feedback loops —bugs, enhancement requests, customer input, and internal signals —so Product Managers have the right inputs at the right time
- Act as a connective layer across Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Commercial, Finance, and PMO —ensuring priorities are understood, dependencies are managed, and follow-through happens
- Communicate clearly and persuasively to multiple audiences —from individual contributors to senior executives —adjusting your message without losing the substance
- Support planning cycles, leadership operating rhythms, and strategic content preparation as needed
- Drive change management efforts for new processes, operating models, and tooling rollouts —with the empathy and “bedside manner” to bring people along, not just mandate adoption
- Build credibility through consistency, follow-through, and a track record of making things better
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Operations Manager, Program Manager in a Product Org or in a closely adjacent product role —you understand the PDLC from the inside
- Demonstrated experience treating internal processes and tooling as products —with your own roadmap, backlog, and measurable outcomes
- Deep familiarity with the PDLC at scale: multiple products, multiple engineering teams, complex cross-functional environments
- Hands-on experience implementing product management tools (Jira, Pendo, Confluence, Tempo, or similar) with demonstrated, quantifiable business impact
- Solid data analysis skills —comfortable analyzing product usage, customer feedback, and financial performance, and translating data into actionable insights
- You use AI tools as a natural part of your workflow —to synthesize feedback at scale, accelerate analysis, draft and iterate on communications, and build lightweight reporting —and you're always looking for new ways to apply them
- Proven ability to lead without formal authority —you earn trust, build relationships, and move people through influence and expertise
- Crisp, compelling communicator at all levels —you can write a sharp exec summary and facilitate a working session with engineers in the same day
- Highly autonomous —you take a problem, define the approach, and drive it to resolution without needing constant direction
- Strong change management instincts —you know that the best process in the world fails without adoption, and you plan accordingly
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
- Experience in B2B SaaS or data/analytics companies preferred; healthcare industry experience is a bonus, not a requirement
