Kforce Inc is seeking a Product Manager responsible for serving as the Product Owner on a scrum team ensuring quality software products are built and delivered for the company and its clients. The role involves defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and coordinating product releases while collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Exhibits proven competence in all Product Manager duties and knowledge requirements
- Leads team in achieving sprint goals by delivering high value items during a product's life cycle
- Defines product vision, road-map and strategic growth opportunities for product
- Documents, evaluates and prioritizes product enhancements and bugs with stakeholders
- Facilitates requirements gathering with stakeholders and understands their business process or workflow
- Reviews completed work, performs and documents product testing and data validation while engaging stakeholders as needed to obtain business signoff
- Conducts sprint planning and elaboration of user stories including defining acceptance criteria and definition of done with the team
- Continually grooms and maintains the product backlog according to business priorities, value or ROI, ensuring user stories are clear and concise
- Coordinates product releases with team, Production Support and other impacted groups while setting delivery expectations with stakeholders
- Assists in mitigating impediments to ensure team achieves release/sprint goals
- Provides estimates for new products or feature enhancements to an existing product
- Assists in troubleshooting incidents, reporting bugs and serves as point of escalation for Production Support team
- Develops or directs creation of product documentation for distribution to staff and clients including support guides, release notes, policies and operational procedures
- Manages all communications around product development with team and stakeholders
- Collaborates and coordinates with stakeholders, other IT teams, or 3rd party vendors on product development as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) or more years related work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to manage a dispersed, distributed software development team
- Strong analytical skills to understand data and business process, diagnose problems and recommend solutions
- Ability to work within a team and to work independently
- Ability to interface with a broad stakeholder audience across the organization
- General Microsoft Office products experience in Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel
- Scrum certification
- Insurance industry experience
