Remote Cloud Network Engineer

TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services. They are seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Network Engineer to support enterprise data center, campus LAN, internet edge, and office networks, working closely with various engineering teams to design, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud and Software-Defined Data Center platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Define, design, and implement physical and virtual network infrastructure using standard engineering principles of availability, efficiency, redundancy, scalability, and security
• Engineer and support high-availability data center and campus LAN environments
• Participate in audits, IP address management, bandwidth forecasting, and capacity planning
• Configure and support:
• Cisco routers and switches (including patching and upgrades)
• Palo Alto firewalls (rule creation, policy management)
• Aruba ClearPass for network access control
• Configure firewalls, load balancers, routers, and switches across physical, virtual, and software-defined environments
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and manage escalations
• Provide remote support for off-site personnel and branch locations
• Coordinate with project management and engineering teams
• Support automation efforts for repeatable network tasks and CI/CD-style delivery
• Build and maintain tools for deployment and testing in stable production environments
• Produce operational reports and project milestone updates
• Develop and maintain technical documentation

Requirements:

• Expertise in Cisco routing & switching, including patching
• Palo Alto firewall experience, specifically firewall rule and policy configuration
• Aruba ClearPass Network Access Control (NAC)
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, and firewall technologies
• Experience supporting data center and campus LAN environments
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Cloud networking experience (hybrid or public cloud)
• VMware NSX-T
• DevOps or infrastructure automation exposure
• CCNA or higher certification
