Distributed Systems Engineer (L4) - Data Platform

Netflix is a leading entertainment company on a mission to entertain the world through innovative storytelling and cutting-edge technology. They are seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer to evolve and innovate their data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable distributed systems that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Solving real business needs at large scale by applying your software engineering and analytical problem-solving skills
• Architecting and building a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure
• Leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and TPM across teams
• Sharing our experiences with the open source communities and contributing to Netflix OSS

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
• Proficient in the design and development of RESTful web services
• Experienced in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
• Experienced in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
• Comfortable tackling multi-threading challenges
• BS in Computer Science or a related field
