About this role
Harnham is a leading recruitment specialist in Data and AI, currently partnering with a modern healthcare technology company focused on real-time remote patient monitoring and AI-driven engagement platforms. The role requires an AI-native engineer to work across the full cloud and AI stack, contributing to AI-driven capabilities and collaborating closely with engineering and AI leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain cloud services, APIs, and pipelines that support AI and ML workloads
- Design and evolve infrastructure‑as‑code using modern tooling (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Containerize services and ship production code through CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate AI models and third‑party AI APIs into real‑world systems
- Actively use AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development and share best practices with the team
- Contribute to a secure, auditable architecture suitable for healthcare data and regulated environments
- Collaborate closely with engineering and AI leadership on emerging AI‑driven product capabilities
Requirements:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, debugging, and version control
- Proficiency in Python (TypeScript is a plus)
- Hands‑on experience with AWS (or another major cloud platform)
- Experience writing or working with infrastructure‑as‑code
- Comfort with containers, APIs, and distributed systems
- Demonstrated use of AI development tools in day‑to‑day workflows
- Exposure to ML pipelines, LLM APIs, or agentic AI systems
- Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare or finance
- Open‑source contributions, side projects, or strong personal GitHub portfolio
