V-Soft Consulting Group, Inc. is currently hiring for a Senior Platform Engineer for their premier client. The role involves designing and implementing automated environments and internal tools to enhance developer productivity and streamline infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
- Build the "Golden Path": Design and implement automated environments and internal tools that allow developers to self-serve infrastructure without needing to be AWS experts
- Engineer Internal Tools: Write high-quality code in Python and TypeScript to build custom CLI tools, internal dashboards, and automated migration scripts
- Optimize the Cycle: Treat our CI/CD pipelines, SDKs, and libraries as high-end products. If a local build is slow or a deployment is confusing, you are the one to fix it
- Software Engineer First: You have deep coding roots. You aren't just "scripting"; you understand software architecture, design patterns, and how to build maintainable systems
- Tooling Obsessed: You are the person who automates a task the second time you have to do it. You care about the "feel" of a developer’s workflow
- Infrastructure Polyglot: You understand the cloud, but you aren't "AWS-centric." You view Terraform and Kubernetes as implementation details, not the entirety of your job
- Empathetic Problem Solver: You treat your fellow engineers as your customers. You listen to their frustrations and build solutions that make them enjoy writing code
Requirements:
- Strong Proficiency: Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js are essential
- Experience: Proven track record of building internal developer platforms, SDKs, or engineering productivity tools
- The Toolbox: Familiarity with modern containerization and orchestration, but with a focus on application-side tooling and developer enablement rather than just raw operations
- The Mindset: You move away from 'ticket-based' operations toward 'product-based' platform engineering
- Build the 'Golden Path': Design and implement automated environments and internal tools that allow developers to self-serve infrastructure without needing to be AWS experts
- Engineer Internal Tools: Write high-quality code in Python and TypeScript to build custom CLI tools, internal dashboards, and automated migration scripts
