SR Account Director, Business Development (GMP Testing Services) - US- MidAtlantic

Thermo Fisher Scientific is a global leader in serving science, and they are seeking a Senior Account Director to drive growth through consultative sales of clinical product and analytical development services. The role involves collaborating with pharmaceutical and biotech decision-makers to enhance global health and advance the delivery of life-changing therapies.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to growth through consultative sales of our clinical product and analytical development services
• Collaborate with decision-makers at pharmaceutical and biotech companies
• Position PPD as their preferred provider while contributing to global health
• Help advance the delivery of life-changing therapies to patients worldwide
• Apply our comprehensive portfolio of services spanning clinical trials, laboratory testing, and real-world evidence solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding targets
• Proven experience in selling GMP Testing Services to corporations developing human therapeutics, especially complex and recombinant biologics, cell and gene therapy, RNA products, and other combination therapeutics
• Strong scientific and technical knowledge of drug development, clinical trials, and laboratory services
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision makers
• Excellence in consultative selling, proposal development, and contract negotiations
• Strong presentation and communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating across matrix organizations
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Strategic thinking and business knowledge to identify and develop opportunities
• Ability to travel 25-50% of time for client meetings and business development
• Fluent English required; additional language skills valuable
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently
• Preferred Fields of Study: life sciences, business, or related field
• Additional relevant certifications beneficial
