Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, part of Danaher, is a global leader in clinical diagnostics. The Global Digital Operations Software Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting software solutions that digitize and automate medical device manufacturing operations across multiple regions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support innovative software solutions that automate and digitize medical device manufacturing across global regions (NA, APAC, Europe)
- Build and maintain .NET desktop applications (VB & C#) to deliver work instructions, capture production data, visualize WIP, and digitize device history records
- Develop and manage backend MS SQL Server databases that store production data and support future AI integrations
- Validate, release, and document non‑product software solutions, including technical design and system architecture
- Partner with global operations teams as a technical lead to localize applications, gather user feedback, and drive continuous improvement of deployed digital systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 9+ years, Master's with 7+ years, or Doctorate with 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years in medical device or other regulated industries with strong validation and design‑control documentation experience
- Proficiency in developing .NET desktop applications (VB.NET and/or C#) using WPF (preferred) or WinForms, including database integration and SQL
- Hands-on experience with git for source control and a solid understanding of manufacturing operations within regulated environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams to achieve project goals, with bonus skills in hardware communication, dashboard development, and XML/JSON or scripting (BAT/CMD/Powershell)
