Senior Security Engineer

Automox is a cloud-native IT operations platform that empowers IT admins by replacing traditional tools with an innovative management platform. The Senior Security Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing security operations, driving efficiency, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration within the Security team.

Responsibilities:

• Build proactive security automation aimed at decreasing manual remediation work
• Research new and novel ways to accomplish security work and publish your findings on our blog
• Participate in a monthly security on-call rotation for critical escalations
• Build security capabilities utilizing the attacker mindset and other adversary research

Requirements:

• You have 4+ years of experience in a security domain and exposure to SaaS companies
• You have experience automating tasks in a programming language of your choice (Python, Go, Node.js, etc.)
• You can triage security issues appropriately; accounting for reachability and business impact
• You have experience participating in a security program at a mid-stage startup where every decision involves balancing competing priorities
• You enjoy having philosophical discussions about security practices and ways to improve them
• You want a chance to try something new without much bureaucratic overhead
• Must be able to pass a federal, state, county background check
• Complete a local in-person verification
