Business Intelligence Analyst II

Daikin Applied Americas is the world's largest HVAC company and is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst II. This role involves acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and data teams, gathering reporting requirements, validating data, and providing actionable analyses to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear requirements
• Perform ad hoc analyses to provide insights into business needs. Update analyses as needed
• Validate data, dashboards, and reports for accuracy, consistency, and relevance
• Partner with the Digital team and give guidance on data modeling requirements. Work with Data Analysts to create project requests for the Digital team on formal data models and dashboards
• Ensure consistent use of business definitions, KPIs, and metrics across dashboards and reports
• Anticipate stakeholder questions by proactively analyzing trends and identifying risks or opportunities
• Communicate findings and recommendations in clear, business-focused language
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure insights are actionable and aligned with business priorities
• Document requirements, processes, and validation steps for ongoing improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in technical or quantitative field
• 2 to 4 years relevant business experience in roles that analyze data, markets, business drivers and customer needs
• Ability to translate complex business questions into reporting requirements
• Experience validating data accuracy and identifying inconsistencies
• Ability to establish and maintain consistent reporting definitions and business rules
• Familiarity with Power BI tools to support validation and requirement translation
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and interpret key business processes and performance metrics
• Strong ability to interpret data and communicate actionable recommendations to stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
