Full Stack Engineer

CustomInsight is a SaaS platform that helps organizations measure employee engagement and turn survey data into action. They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a small engineering team, where the role involves full-stack web development, backend logic, SQL performance tuning, and AI integrations.

Responsibilities:

• You'll move across the full stack daily - backend logic, SQL performance tuning, AI integrations (Anthropic, OpenAI API), report generation, and UX tweaks
• After onboarding, you'll own features end-to-end

Requirements:

• Strong Python skills, including environment setup and deployment
• Solid SQL experience - complex queries, performance tuning, stored procedures
• Full-stack web development - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
• Git/GitHub fluency - branching, PRs, collaborative workflows
• OWASP mindset - secure coding practices are baked in
• UX and aesthetic awareness - you notice when spacing is off or when a workflow feels clunky
• 2+ years of professional development experience
• The ability to read unfamiliar code, understand existing patterns, and work within them
• US residency
• Experience with AI-assisted development (Copilot, Claude, or similar)
• Data analysis or statistics background
• Experience with Classic ASP, ASP.NET, and IIS
• Experience as a solo dev or on a very small team
