The Application Engineer position is responsible for organizing, modifying, and supporting assigned retail or commercial banking software platforms, collaborating with technology partners to assist in development, enhancements, and QA testing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the configuration and implementation of assigned systems
- Support the administrative needs of assigned systems
- Develop effective testing strategies/plan relevant to projects in flight
- Provide thorough feedback through the execution of test cases under varying criterion
- Track system-related, defects, bug, glitches and other issues and reporting to vendors
- Troubleshoot problems reported by users
- Support the ongoing development of testing procedures, cases, scripts and related documentation
- Create operating procedures and documentation for new and existing processes
- Work with multiple teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Assist with maintaining, installing, and deploying system component upgrades as needed
- Assist IT with maintaining system security and availability to specific users
- Evaluate and modify system performance
- Create and monitor support cases with vendors supporting lines of business
- Partner appropriately with other IT departments to address any needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of related experience required
- Microsoft designation required
- Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field required
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
- Strong understanding of corporate technology infrastructure, particularly in banking
- Able to be multi‐task orientated and have strong problem‐solving skills
- Interested in technology and new trends; enjoys working with people and computers
- Strong logical reasoning skills
- Strong desire and ability to learn new processes and procedures
