Kforce Inc is seeking a remote Senior Data Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on managing financial data from various sources to identify cost-saving opportunities, primarily utilizing Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery and visualizations for executive presentations.
Responsibilities:

- This person will be working with data regarding all of the client's financials, from 3rd party apps, different vendors, overall cost and revenue etc
- They are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to focus on where and how the client can save cost
- This team is heavy GCP-focused with Bigquery, and then leveraging visualizations, to present to the executives
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience building production ETL/ELT data pipelines in Python (3.11+)
- Strong SQL skills with deep BigQuery experience
- Hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Python client libraries
- Production experience with Cloud Run Jobs (or equivalent serverless container platforms)
- Production experience with Google Cloud Workflows
- Solid Docker skills
- Strong Terraform skills (1.5+)
- Comfortable owning a multi-environment Terraform repository end-to-end
- Deep working knowledge of GCP
- Working knowledge of Azure billing and inventory APIs - Azure is partially used today and expected to grow
- Familiarity with the FOCUS billing specification (FinOps Open Cost & Usage Specification): canonical columns, how vendor exports map to FOCUS, and the practical quirks - committed-use discounts, credits, taxes, currency conversion, true-ups, and refunds
- Understanding of cloud cost concepts
- Familiarity with third-party SaaS billing/usage APIs
- Demonstrated experience inheriting an undocumented or under-documented production system and getting to operational fluency on your own - reading code, tracing data flows, and reconstructing intent from Git history and Terraform state
- Production on-call experience as a solo on-call for a critical system
- Strong Git/GitHub workflow discipline
