Junior Software Engineer

Visory Health is an industry leader in the health technology field, focused on improving healthcare access through innovative technology. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will assist in developing and maintaining applications that support customers, pharmacists, and physicians, while collaborating with experienced developers to enhance your technical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of existing applications and automations
• Assist in building cloud-based features and components based on requirements provided by senior developers or product stakeholders
• Write clean, testable code under the guidance of more experienced team members
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality
• Collaborate with QA team members during testing cycles and sprint activities
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify technical needs
• Support integration efforts when working with third-party partners or tools
• Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and development practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent foundational knowledge
• Up to 1 year of software development experience (internships, academic projects, or personal projects welcome)
• Basic familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• Foundational understanding of programming concepts and ability to write and test code in at least one language such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn from feedback
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from coursework or project experience
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience or coursework involving AWS or other cloud platforms
• Exposure to working with datasets or data-driven applications
• Interest in analytics or data-focused development
• Demonstrated initiative through personal coding projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions
• Working knowledge or proficiency with Python
